It was all very good.
I am so pleased that I was able to see a Dietician and she was so helpful. Wished I had seen one years ago.
The dietician was so helpful and I think that my treatment at St.Peters and Ashford Hospital has been extremely good.
They just want to send old people home.
My Nan was discharged after 24hrs of treatment for atrial fibrillation with medicine.
On return she was unable to eat, suffered vomiting, diorrea and was totally fatigued and barely able to walk.
After 9 days and reviewing online the treatment prescribed has these known side effects. Calling the local GP he said they should never of discharged her without stabilising the medicines and ensuring she had follow up care.
On getting her returned to hospital they denied anything was wrong and we practically had to beg for her to be taken in as she hadn't eaten in 9 days.
Speaking to others this is how they treat the elderly there - just want rid of them and hope they dont come back - and presribe medicines they know are risking.
I have only the upmost respect for the paramedics and all the others who have provided fantastic care and assistance - however this hospital has some serious moral issues with older patients and needs investigating.
I will be writing to our MP
Friendly staff keeping me up to date
A wonderful coordinated and caring team - you have some great people her!
Lovely Staff and Nurses- I felt very well cared for and safe
My mother was admitted to A&E at St Peter's over the Easter weekend. The service received from A&E was swift and professional from all the medical staff involved. She was transferred to AECU for the remainder of her time. The nurses were caring, helpful and respectful towards my mother and the Doctors gave clear advice and guidance. Fortunately she is now back at home and on the road to recovery. Thank you to all for the great work that you do.
After a sleepless night, I waited in the CT waiting area for 30 minutes before being acknowledged. Then was told that they could not read the doctors writing so I had to wait. After 45 minutes I was called in to give contrast injection. Nurse called me Marius instead of Mark and when I corrected her she said exactly this!
“ first patient of the day and you are not happy! , she was ranting about the handwriting and when my wife said, excuse me but my husband did not say he was unhappy, she stormed off saying, I’m walking away. After a further5 minutes, another nurse came to take me to another room. She also had a bad attitude. It’s disgusting treatment of any patient and the department looks completely disorganised. Whilst we were in the waiting room, another nurse was discussing another patients treatment openly in front of the entire waiting room. She was embarrassed too !!
